A team families can know
and trust
Building Blocks is unusually strong where many centers struggle most: staff consistency. Our low turnover, long-tenured team, and family-centered approach create the kind of relationships that help children feel secure and parents feel confident.
The people guiding daily life
at Building Blocks
Miss Emily serves as Director of Building Blocks, providing steady, thoughtful leadership that supports both families and staff. She is passionate about creating a welcoming, nurturing environment where children feel safe, valued, and excited to learn each day.
Miss Nisha has been part of Building Blocks for over 20 years and is one of the most beloved long-standing members of the Building Blocks family. Her long history gives families the kind of continuity, warmth, and lived knowledge that cannot be faked.
Amanda Day brings a lifelong passion for early childhood education to her role as owner of Building Blocks Preschool. She believes the early years are a critical window for shaping a child’s love of learning, confidence, and sense of wonder, and that the best outcomes happen when educators and families work closely together.
Why low turnover
matters so much
Children thrive when they are surrounded by familiar adults who know them well. Parents feel it too. Low teacher turnover helps preserve the family atmosphere Building Blocks is known for and creates the consistency that makes trust possible. Families come to know long-tenured teachers like Caitlin and Taja, along with other familiar staff who help make the school feel steady and personal.
A team committed to growing
Building Blocks values experience, but it also values continued learning. Staff strengthen their early childhood knowledge through professional development courses throughout the year so they can keep serving children and families with care and intention.
We work with parents,
not around them
At Building Blocks, teachers and leadership work with families as a team. We communicate openly and believe strong parent partnership is one of the most important parts of a great preschool experience.
