How Children Learn

Play is serious
business.

At Building Blocks, play is not separate from learning. It is how learning happens. Through circle time, centers, show-and-tell, music and movement, outdoor play, and hands-on exploration, children develop language, friendships, self-control, confidence, and early academic skills in ways that feel natural and joyful.

Meet the Team

The people who will know your child

One of Building Blocks' greatest strengths is the consistency of its team. Families are not starting over with new faces every few months. They are joining a school where relationships have time to grow.

Our Story

Started with a crayon
and a dream

"Own a Child Care Center where children can learn and be happy."

Building Blocks began with a childhood dream and opened its doors on August 4, 1997. What started as a hand-drawn floor plan on a piece of paper became the school generations of local families now know and trust.

That original vision still shapes the center today: a place where children are cared for thoughtfully, families feel welcomed, and learning is rooted in joy.

Nearly 30 years of Loving, Learning, & Growing.

Questions

What parents usually
want to know first

Have more questions? We love talking with families. Call us or come visit.

Building Blocks serves children ages 2½ through Pre-K in age-based classrooms designed to support each stage of growth. If you are not sure which program is the best fit, we are happy to talk through your child's age and developmental needs during a tour.
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Our approach is built around learning through play. Children take part in circle time, centers, music and movement, show-and-tell, outdoor play, and hands-on activities that support social-emotional development, language, early academics, and confidence.
At Building Blocks, classroom placement is a conversation, not just a calendar. Students advance based on both age and developmental milestones, and while most transitions happen at year's end, we never let the calendar override what is best for a child. Our lead teachers and families make these decisions together.
Yes. We are currently enrolling and would love to help you explore whether Building Blocks is the right fit for your child.
We value open, consistent communication with every family. Our teachers maintain close contact with parents and we welcome questions at any time.
